SIUE also offers a 50 percent waiver of tuition to your dependents if you have provided at least seven years of service. This benefit, which is transferrable to any public university in the State of Illinois, will be extended to the dependent for up to 130 credit hours or until he/she reaches the age 25.

Specific leave eligibility and accrual rates are specific to each position and employment classification, but most employees earn 12-25 vacation days and at least 10 sick days per year. SIUE also provides holiday and administrative closure days, and other leave options including FMLA, jury duty, funeral leave and military leave.
