Community Health Nurse Program Manager
Full-Time, Merit position for the Communicable Disease Programs at the Washington County Health Department.
Main Purpose Of Job
This position is responsible for the management and evaluation of services provided for the Communicable Disease/Infectious Disease and other related clinical programs at the Washington County Health Department. In this position, this includes HIV Case Management and testing programs, Communicable Disease surveillance and investigations, Tuberculosis, Vaccine Preventable Disease/Immunization, Employee Health, PReP and rabies programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Master’s degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse in an administrative, supervisory, consultative or teaching capacity or one year of experience as a Community Health Nurse and two years of experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative or teaching capacity as a Registered Nurse.

- Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse for the required education.
- Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience as a Community Health Nurse for the required education.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classification or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
