Extension Educator - Agriculture Production Systems #334116
University of Minnesota Extension is seeking qualified candidates with skills and experience in engaging stakeholders in agriculture, developing and strengthening networks, teaching and facilitating informal educational programs relevant to Carlton County. Candidates should have expertise in soils, forages and pastures. Other emphasis areas include livestock production and small farms. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge to new and future programs that enhance and expand the programming in agriculture and assist in the educational support to the Carlton County Soil Improvement Program. Special efforts will be required to maintain competency in multiple Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) discipline areas as well as knowledge of local/federal/state related programs.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in agriculture or natural resources related discipline, i.e. agronomy, soils, nutrient management, livestock production, agricultural economics, and/or agricultural education.
