POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Senior Project Manager provides expertise relative to health care facilities projects, project schedules and budgets.
- Responsible for overall project coordination with contractors, consultants/vendors and hospital/medical staff.
- Responsible for assisting the Vice President and Director, Planning Design and Construction (PDC) in the overall management of all projects associated with the implementation of the University Health System Capital and Operational projects, to include, but not be limited to:
- The development of a strategic implementation plan involving procurement and oversight/coordination of all construction to ensure the goals of planning, design, budgets, schedules and construction are met within the established project timelines;
- Effectively protects the Health System's interests in capital and operational projects and, working collaboratively with budget and finance staff, ensures appropriate fiscal controls for capital projects for presentation to the President/Chief Executive Officer, senior leadership and the Board of Managers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalency is required/Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of seven (7) years relevant healthcare related experience is required.
- Architectural & Engineering; A&E Consulting; Engineering & Construction; P/L (Project Leader); Contract Management and Administration; Construction Management experience in the healthcare industry is required.
