Associate Director
Office of Research Administration
Serve as Associate Director of Research Enabled, a new portal connecting the campus community with national industry-sponsored research opportunities. Work closely with the director to market the benefits of the program to various constituents (researchers, faculty, staff, business community), manage the portal and provide other functions to increase the success of the program.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates activities on the online Innovation Interchange portal, a system designed to:match industry research needs with expertise and resources of several university campuses of the University of Missouri and Southern Illinois University systems facilitate entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and economic development activitiesencourage onboarding of student researchers by industry sponsors as interns and full-time employees.
- Assists director with onboarding of new industry partners.
- Provides crucial customer service and support to industry and faculty portal users.
- Collects data regarding portal use and outcomes.
- Manages communications with all customers (users and administrators) to encourage active engagement on the portal.
- Ensures portal and databases are kept up to date and in good working order.
- Market program to new potential industry and research partners by providing value of program, success outcomes and related benefits.
- Work on marketing materials such as newsletters, social media and other virtual formats to increase awareness of and participation in the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- Strong understanding of database management is required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CRM & Database familiarity
- Previous experience in research lab or other research environment in any discipline, whether academic or industry, conducting research or administration
- Sales experience (B2B preferred)
- IT literacy
Salary Range: $47,476-$65,468 annually
