Responsibilities:
The HVAC Mechanic installs, services and repairs a variety of residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC) equipment. The incumbent is responsible for repairing and servicing a variety of institutional and commercial heating ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC) equipment. Specific duties include: repairing, servicing, and installing commercial and institutional centralized air conditioning systems up to 100 tons, and performing other duties as assigned. Systems may contain several zones with VAV distribution. In addition, the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a High school diploma/GED and four years of progressively responsible experience in the HVAC/air conditioning/refrigeration trade.
Must possess a valid Non-commercial class C or equivalent driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with computerized automation system desired.
CFC certification
