Description
Note: The individual selected for this position will assume the role on or after January 6, 2020.
Manage district office/classroom/lab relocation projects including furniture reconfigurations, computer & equipment relocations, new equipment installations, and remodel-related swing space coordination to ensure efficient and on-time relocations. Coordinate the day-to-day details for all aspects of each project. Perform planning, project scheduling and control, move budgeting, outside labor coordination, project documentation and project closeout. Function as a flexible team player, work with minimal supervision and interact with customers effectively.
Essential Functions:
- Develop project plans/timelines and coordination efforts related to personnel moves, major equipment installations/moves, and swing space management throughout the District.
- Manage district office/classroom/lab relocation projects including furniture reconfigurations, computer & equipment relocations, new equipment installations, and remodel-related swing space coordination.
- Coordinate services between transportation carriers and district personnel to ensure time-sensitive delivery schedules are made within the required project timeline.
- Develop project proposals based on the determined scope of the plan/timeline that include documentation for estimates to maximize value and minimize costs.
- Execute communication plans with the required staff/departments in district to ensure smooth and efficient installation/relocation based on the project plan/timeline.
- Develop and implement technical project management tools, such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Conduct inventory audits of office and classroom/labs to ensure that all items are accounted for before and after relocations.
- Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
Position Requiremen:
- This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in a logistics, supply chain or major project planning environment.
- Valid Class "D" Driver's License
- Must have or be willing to obtain Forklift Operators License
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills including Internet research skills and use of project planning software
- Ability to organize data collections into understandable patterns
- Knowledgeable of the movement of materials via transportation systems
- Ability to work well on a team

Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
Salary Schedule Technician
Hiring Range $27,665 - $33,625 annually dependent on experience and education, plus additional $6,900 compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.
