Lead Building Maintainer – Facilities
$ 31.26 hourly
The Lead Building Maintainer position is a multi-functional role encompassing all aspects of building maintenance, cleaning, and repairs. The incumbent chosen for this position will implement building wide preventive maintenance programs performed both in-house and by outside vendors. Works with Facility Manager to prioritize both internal and tenant work orders. Performs required equipment testing and/or inspections. Oversees work performed by trade contractors to ensure completeness and quality standards. Receives after-hours calls when building issues arise and responds to issues as needed. Performs repairs and minor renovations to both interior and exterior of buildings. Plans and executes office reconfigurations and furniture moves. Provides supervision and support to custodial and maintenance staff to achieve departmental goals and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a building maintenance role including 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a building maintenance or building trades role. Must have and maintain: valid motor vehicle driver’s license and clean driving record. Preferred: CT license in at least one building trade, preferably mechanical (S-2 or S-1, D-2) or electrical (E-2 or E-1).

Examinations may include written, oral, physical, or performance tests or any combination of the various types of examinations.
