Public Works – Maintenance Worker - Buildings & Grounds

The Town of Altavista is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Maintenance Worker in our Public Works – Building and Grounds Division. This position performs intermediate manual and semiskilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of public facilities, buildings, grounds, and related facilities, and related work as apparent or assigned. Full-time position, may require working outside normal work hours in on-call and emergency situations. Frequent exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. Applicants must possess VA commercial driver's license and a high school diploma or equivalent.
