Quality Auditor
Summary of Activities: This position has direct responsibility to support the Quality, Engineering, Purchasing and Production activities that are required by SynTec Seating Solutions. This includes utilizing defined processes, communication methods, and protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
2. Perform and record receiving inspection of raw product in accordance with defined sampling plans.
3. Assist in resolving quality related issues.
4. In-process audits
5. Handles floor quality issues
6. Faro work as needed
7. Calibrations and updating software
8. Perform measurement system studies for all component and assembly gages.
9. Complete calculations and communicate the results to the Quality Assurance Manager.
10. Utilize the CMM (Faro Arm) and handheld gages to conduct part and fixture studies for the weld operations
11. Utilize analytical tools to research and develop corrective measures (informal) and Corrective Actions (formal) for reduction/elimination of internal and external defects.
12. Perform Cpk studies as required. Report results in a defined format.
13. Complete scheduled performance testing including record maintenance, SPC, and Corrective Action as required.
14. Provide recommendations for correction or improvement as appropriate. Approach all activities with the Organizations Goals and 5S.
15. Promote a positive and growth/opportunity-oriented mindset among peers.
16. Other duties as assigned.

Syntec will supply safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Level:
Minimum High School Degree or GED prefer Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree; with one to five years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with Welding, Cut & Sew and Upholstery responsibility
Specific education and training in Quality Disciplines including Corrective Actions, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, SPC and Print Reading.
Desirable qualifications would be familiarity with Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plan Standards.
PPAP requirements, Dimensional studies, and gage/fixture studies, CQT experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required. Knowledge of quality measurement methods, solid mechanics and hands on experience in testing and data analysis is preferred.
Language Skills:
Fluent English reading/writing skills is required; Spanish language skills desired.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
