The Steamboat Pilot & Today is seeking a driven, goal-oriented and well-organized professional to sell our market-leading products. This full-time position in a dynamic mountain-resort market will handle high-level accounts as well as new-business opportunities. Products include a daily newspaper, magazines, a full suite of digital-marketing products and events. This position offers terrific earning potential, health and recreational benefits, and 401k. Our team works hard but plays hard in a dynamic resort market that values energy, passion and curiosity.
Responsibilities Include:
Selling print and online display advertising to assigned account list and prospect for new business.
Selling digital-marketing services into platforms that include SteamboatPilot.com, social media and streaming television.
Selling event sponsorships.
Prospecting may include sales into certain short-term and long-term initiatives, as well as actively pursuing new business from inactive accounts.
Keeping accounts payable within company goals.
Developing creative advertising campaigns.
Prospecting your entire account list and sell, make recommendations on our entire line of expanding products as a regular part of your day.
Turn in all paperwork and ad copy in a legible and timely basis, meeting all established deadlines..
Attend sales and other meetings as required (on a timely basis).
Qualifications:
College degree preferred.
Sales experience helpful.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and sales-related programs.
Must have a good grasp of spelling and grammar.
