Scheduling and Events Coordinator (Grant-funded)
ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, grant-funded administrative position of Scheduling and Events Coordinator.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the mission and values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is a highly responsible position involving the planning, organization, and scheduling the room/building for events at the Southwestern Illinois Justice and Workforce Development Campus. Work includes tracking, room rental and space usage for external and internal contacts as well as entering maintenance and custodial workorders for campus operations. This position is responsible for the coordination of comprehensive scheduling of events for campus rentals, special functions, and operations facilitated through the computerized scheduling system. This position performs a variety of administrative duties including the coordination of resident hall areas, campus events, room rentals, space usage, maintenance requests and custodial services. Coordinates communications of facilities rentals and housing as it relates to the Police Academy, Athletic Department, the City of Belleville, and Southwestern Illinois College.
This is a full-time, grant-funded, administrative position and is dependent on external funding. Applicants for, and employees within this position, are subject to criminal background checks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
- Knowledge of R25 scheduling and Micromain maintenance software preferred.
- Must be able to multi-task between various assignments.
- Exhibit maturity, leadership, good communication, and a positive attitude.
- Punctual, strong organizational skills required with attention to details.
- Clear background screening required.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Salary Grade 1 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $33,750 to $40,500 per year.
