Reporting and Compliance Analyst
ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Reporting and Compliance Analyst.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is responsible for the collections, storage, analysis, retrieval and organization of data pertaining to: institutional effectiveness; institutional, economic and community development; and the grant development process. Conducts independent analysis and research, analyzes trends, and informs decision makers in assessing the effectiveness of strategic and tactical initiatives. Reporting to the BI analyst-Programmer, the Reporting and Compliance Analyst is a technical and professional position where assignments are broad in nature, enthusiasm for learning is expected, and daily opportunities will require independent initiative, critical analysis, creative approaches and data visualization skills for contributing to the development of information solutions. This person will prepare statistical and analytical reports, design research studies, develop innovative methods for conveying information, and disseminate official results to appropriate audiences. The analyst will provide support for access and use of the i2 tools and Report Center. This will included engaging in requirements gather, defining reporting strategies, and acquiring fluency in adopted i2 and analytics technologies to support business needs. The analyst will also contribute to the development and maintenance of the data dictionary and metadata.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required; Masters preferred.
2. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in higher education reporting required.
3. Minimum of one (1) year of professional level work at a post-secondary academic institution or in a related field preferred.
4. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in data management/data extraction techniques, quantitative statistical analysis, survey or marketing research methodology, and/or PC-based software for data analysis is required.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$51,164 to $68,638 per year
WORK LOCATION
Belleville Campus with district wide responsibilities
