PROGRAM RESEARCH SPECIALISTS
ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for two full-time administrative Program Research Specialists.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Program Research Specialist is a full-time administrative position that researches and supports the development of programs and curriculum to advance academic programming. The Program Research Specialist should be familiar with academic programs to conduct research and analyze educational trends and opportunities for our district. Enthusiasm for learning is expected and this position will require independent initiative, critical analysis, creative approaches and data visualization skills for contributing to the development of programmatic solutions. This position will prepare statistical and analytical reports, design research studies, develop innovative methods for conveying information, and disseminate official results to appropriate audiences. The specialist will have access to internal reporting tools and other external surveys to aid in the support of researched programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required; Master's preferred.
2. Minimum of one (1) year of professional level work at post-secondary academic institution or in a related field preferred.
3. Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the action to improve performance.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Grade 1 on the Administrative Salary Scale, ranging from $33,750 to $40,500 per year.
WORK LOCATION
Belleville Campus with district-wide responsibilities.
