ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Executive Assistant, President's Office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance to the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position assists in providing a wide range of secretarial services to the President, Chief Officers, and other executive level administrators. There is extensive public contact with board members and public officials. Also involves frequent interaction with college administrators, faculty, and other staff. The content of the work requires considerable knowledge of college policies and procedures and based upon that knowledge, the incumbent employee fulfills the duties and responsibilities using independent judgment, discretion, and initiative. Works under general direction of the Chief of Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in appropriate field required.
- Three (3) years of experience in secretarial work with emphasis on business management, student services, instructional services, or community relations is required.
- Proficiency and work experience with personal computers and software programs are required (Microsoft Office Suite applications).
SALARY: Grade 2 on the Administrative Salary Scale, ranging from $44,675 to $ 51,310 per year.
WORK LOCATION: Belleville Campus
