ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Coordinator of Success Programs-Sam Wolf Granite City Campus.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this individual will report to the Associate Dean of Student Success Programs. Responsibilities include assisting the Associate Dean of Student Success Programs in the oversight, development and implementation of the academic assistance services and tutoring programs. The individual will work at the Sam Wolf Granite City Campus Success Center and have district wide responsibilities. The duties involve complex work methods and problem solving. The individual will perform a variety of tasks related to assisting students in their academic success, including tutoring. This position will assist the Associate Dean of Student Success Programs with various primary responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s degree required.
2. Experience with tutoring, developmental education or student success programs required.
3. Two years teaching and/or administrative experience required.
4. Ability to communicate effectively and positively with a diverse student population required.
5. Ability to tutor developmental mathematics, reading and writing preferred.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
7. Knowledge of computer applications, software packages and the Internet required.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Grade 2 on the Administrative Salary Scale, ranging from $44,675 to $51,310 per year.
WORK LOCATION
Sam Wolf Granite City Campus with district-wide responsibilities
