Physicians’’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking to fill a fulltime Systems Support position. This position will participate in all areas of information technology including desktop support, software applications, network infrastructure, and user support operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, be well versed in Microsoft desktop environments and have exposure to VMware, switching and routing, basic medical terminology, and server management.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide ongoing support for internal and external clients as well as day to day business operations
- Enhance productivity, quality and security by utilizing internal tools, or recommending area of improvement.
- Benchmark existing technology with competing alternatives.
- Takes ownership of issues at different levels, referring to subject matter experts as needed.
- Support ongoing maintenance and initiatives improvements within the facility to maintain compliance and best of breed environments.
Additional preferred qualifications include
- Minimum of 3 -5 years IT experience desired, preferably in healthcare;
- Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously;
- Troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN, Windows servers, Citrix, and Active Directory technologies as well as web based applications helpful.
- MCSE or comparable certification(s) preferred but not required
The leading candidate will have experience in multiple areas of information technology and be willing to be hands-on, no task too small type of attitude. Must be able to demonstrate competencies in IT project implementation and follow through. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. A record of creative problem solving is also desirable.
Individual should possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Applicant should be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, be self-motivated, confident, and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; outgoing personality is a plus. Must be able to work well with all people: vendors, senior and mid-level management, providers, and team members.
