Who is right for the job?
Phoebe, a premier provider of high quality nursing and rehabilitative health care services to older adults, is seeking compassionate, caring Registered Nurses with long-term care experience who are interested in joining our dedicated nursing team which provides the excellent quality of care Phoebe is known for at our campuses.
Skills crucial to success in this role:
- A gift of communicating and interacting effectively with geriatric residents.
- A passion for performing a variety of duties to provide quality nursing care to residents and to coordinate total nursing care for residents.
- An aptitude to document daily on electronic record.
- A desire to oversee the delivery of nursing care to the residents and maintains consistency in the daily operation of the nursing unit
- A capacity to coordinating work within the unit as well as with other units and departments.
- An ability to coordinates admission, discharge, and transfer of resident
- Dedicated to making daily rounds to assess physical and emotional status; implement any required nurse interventions
- The capacity to oversee Nursing Assistants in completing their assignments; directs workflow; orients new employees; provide performance coaching sessions
- Ensure an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well being of all residents in a safe secure environment
- A need to respond to inquiries and requests from residents, staff personnel, etc.
- Assess residents on an on-going basis, analyze information to develop or revise care plans
- A knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities
- Leadership skills including self-awareness, positive attitude, calm approach, fair and consistent, encouraging, empowering, reliable, sound decision-making, and a desire to serve as a resource for the staff.
Must Have's:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current Pennsylvania license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR certification or ability to pursue certification
- One year of experience
