Registered Nurse
Registered Nurses will provide exceptional care to our patients on each of our patient care floors. With the support of the Director of Nursing, Clinical Coordinators and multidisciplinary team, the RN will assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate the patient’s plan of care.
Surg/Ortho/Peds
Parrish’s Surgical/Orthopedic/Pediatric Unit is a fast paced and diverse, 32-bed inpatient unit, which provides care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. The unit consists of 19 single-headboard rooms, four negative-pressure isolation rooms, one camera room, and one pediatric examination/treatment room. Our goal is to provide every patient a private room with the capability to flex up to a semi-private capacity if needed to manage census demands. Pediatric patients are placed in an exclusively secured/monitored wing on the west wing of the unit. Cardiac management includes remote telemetry. The average daily census for the floor is 24 patients per day with an average length of stay of four days.
Cardiovascular (Med/Telemetry
Parrish’s Cardiovascular Unit is a fast paced, 36-bed inpatient medical cardiac and stroke unit, which provides care to adult and geriatric patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring. The unit consists of 10 single-headboard rooms, four negative-pressure isolation rooms, and one camera room. Our goal is to provide every patient a private room with the capability to flex up to a semi-private capacity if needed to manage census demands. The average daily census for the floor is 28 patients per day with an average length of stay of 3.7 days.[DV1]
Med/Oncology
Parrish’s Medical/Oncology Unit is a 33-bed inpatient unit, which provides care to adult and geriatric patients. Patients are admitted for common medical diagnoses including, but not limited to, pneumonia, diabetes, renal failure, COPD, and dialysis, as well as hematological/oncological, immunosuppression and radiation-implant therapy. Cardiac management includes remote telemetry. The unit consists of four single-headboard rooms, four negative-pressure isolation rooms, two camera rooms, and one designated radiation isolation room. Our goal is to provide every patient a private room with the capability to flex up to a semi-private capacity, if needed to manage census demands. The average daily census for the floor is 26 patients per day with an average length of stay of 4.6 days.
