Position: Industrial Electrician
We are seeking an industrial/maintenance electrician located in our St. Louis terminal.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform and assist in all transloading and operation maintenance activities.
- Complete all work in accordance with national, state, and local electrical codes.
- Set an effective pace and minimize the interruptions in the operations.
- Participate in safety programs and safety training and demonstrate total commitment and compliance with all company safety policies.
- Use time effectively to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Program, troubleshoot, and operate 480 three phase motors, 110 controls and PLC’s.
- Assist in electrical repair as needed of heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, cranes, material handlers, etc.
- Repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment such as controls, motors, conveyors, lights, and electrical power equipment.
- Work overtime as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years heavy electrical experience in a terminal or dry material transfer environment.
- Working knowledge of 480 three phase starters, relays, motors, gearboxes is required and must be able to work with switch gear as well as lower voltages in both single and 3 phase.
- Problem solving, troubleshooting and judgment skills required and must have knowledge of tools and instruments required to perform instrument and electronic maintenance, new installations, and troubleshooting.
- Must have effective communications skills and be able to read, understand, and be capable of applying knowledge of written information, electrical wiring diagrams, OEM manuals, schematics, blueprints, and possess math skills required to perform job requirements.
- Must be able to climb heights and work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment drug testing and criminal background check.
Position Information:
This position will be expected to work from the terminal daily and is based in St. Louis, MO.
