Heavy Equipment Fuel/ Lube Technician

Location: Gretna, NE
Primary Purpose:
Complete fueling, oil changes and minor repairs in the field on heavy-duty constriction equipment, according to guidelines with little to no supervision.

Expectations:
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Complete fueling, oil changes and lubrication jobs on equipment in the field.
• Complete minor repairs in the field, such as: adjusting v-belts; tightening or replacing loose or missing bolts or fasteners; replacing a ground engaging tool; adjusting track tension; replacing a lamp, lens, or bulb in the electrical system; replacing a blown fuse or bad switch; replacing wiper blades and cab hardware such as knobs and door latches; repairing or replacing safety equipment such as a backup alarm, seat belt, or mirrors; repair, fabricate and replace hoses; and retrieve codes and downloads and perform minor calibrations.
• Complete service reports
• Communicate job progress
• Follow general safety rules for each job. Ear/eye protection, leather boots, safety cages, etc.
Skills & Experience:
• Previous heavy equipment lube experience is highly preferred.
• One year of previous heavy equipment highly preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of the following systems; engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical.
• CDL with a clean driving record and Hazmat required.
• Possess strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• General computer skills necessary.

Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to continue education as directed a plus.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to view a computer monitor.
• Alpha/numeric keyboarding.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, climbing, stooping, squatting, walking, and reaching for long periods of time.
Salary & Benefits:
• Hourly Rate based on experience. (Negotiable)
