Responsible for responding to various telephone inquiries in a call center for multiple providers, the specialist prepares referrals, obtains authorizations and pre-certifications for patients and assists with physician referrals.
High School Diploma or GED - Required
1 year - Medical Terminology - Required
1 year - Customer Service - Required
1 year - Clinical - Preferred
Call center experience - Preferred
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Certification as a medical assistant may be required prior to placement within this position at specific work sites based on organizational needs and/or other regulatory requirements.
