Beginning Salary: Based on experience
Travel Required: 85-90%, the applicant must be willing to travel to other clinics as needed
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- An exemplary application of infection prevention techniques
- Exemplary clinical skills appropriate to the population served
- Basic knowledgeable of the stages of physical growth and development across the life span
- Basic understanding of common diseases that occur across the life span
- Phlebotomy skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience with ImmTrac and immunizations
Duties:
- Provides exemplary patient care in a positive manner.
- Demonstrate the standards of behavior in all interactions.
- Provides assistance to the providers and clinical personnel as needed.
- Assist clinics with referrals, telephone encounters, prior authorizations, reconciliation of outstanding diagnostic and laboratory tests, and the associated documentation as needed.
- Acts as an extension of the clinical training team to demonstrate and assist clinics to make practice changes as needed.
Education, Skills & Work Experience
Required: High School diploma or equivalent; current CPR certified or willing to become CPR certified within 30-60 days. Graduation from a Medical Assistant training course.
Minimum 6 month-1 year clinical setting experience.
Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish/English.
