Deputy Director

Under the direction of the Executive Director, this management position plans, coordinates and administers public housing activities grant application preparation and administration of affiliated non-profit activities and program coordination.  Directs and provides oversight of the Property Management Department for all Housing Authority owned properties.  Establish operational goals, cross departmental projects and objective in support of the agency's mission priorities and strategic initiatives.  Prepares and presents detailed reports and asset management strategies to improve the operational efficiency and financial performance of Granite City Housing Authority affordable and public housing developments.  Supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.

Candidate should have the ability to plan, organize, staff and direct varied activities and to deal effectively with employees, officials and the public.

Qualifications require a minimum of 10 years of United States Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or like experience.  Familiarity with HUD programs not limited to Capital Fund Program, EIV and PIC systems. Extensive knowledge of HUD and federal regulations that govern the operation of a Public Housing Agency.
