Business Automation Developer

 

The George Mason University Fiscal Services Program Office, invites applications for a Business Automation Developer. Responsibilities:

The Business Automation Developer within the Fiscal Services Program Office will work within the Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) to:

  • Develop and support low-code technology solutions to improve and transform business processes within Fiscal Services and for the University community;
  • Work with Business Systems Analysts and process owners to define requirements and develop automation solutions in accordance with best practices;
  • Monitor and support existing automation processes to include root cause analysis for failures and recommendations for corrective actions;
  • Mentor and train other employees and students in Automation best practices and development; and
  • Support the Fiscal Services and Automation Internship Programs, providing opportunities for learning and growth for interns in the program.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer information systems, programming engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience;
  • Knowledge of SDLC and software engineering best practices;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others, including Business Systems Analysts and functional systems users; and
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships across multiple constituencies.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated (generally 2-4+ years) experience implementing, maintaining, and improving low-code automation solutions (such as RPA, Microsoft Power Platform, etc);
  • Developer certification(s); and
  • Experience with business process redesign, particularly within an automation conversion.
