The ECRSSA aims to transform the way we as a community are helping citizens return from incarceration or a life of crime to become self-sufficient citizens.
Applications are being accepted for full-time caseworker positions as Case Manager in the ECRSSA program at GECAC.
Qualified applicants will provide direct services and aid to participants in support to obtain services, employment, and other essential needs for a successful transition back into our community. The ideal candidate for this position will possess insight on urban issues impacting the Erie area, understand the essential components of case management, and have a working knowledge and acceptance of the UnifiedErie initiative (Prevention, Enforcement and Reentry). Candidates must be willing to work with the prison population and have experience supporting and empowering individuals.
A case manager is:
Responsible for aiding clients in accessing and attaining the services needed to become self-sufficient, law abiding citizens. Duties require working one-on-one with the individual to identify their needs/goals and next connect the individual with the appropriate services to assure barriers are eliminated.
REQUIRED: A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Organizational
Leadership or related field and two years of experience, or high school diploma with six years of experience in restorative justice, victim advocacy, offender services or related fields.
The ideal candidate will possess good outreach and relationship building skills along with knowledge of community-based resources. Must have both good verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of the computer and have computer software skills including Microsoft Office software.
Additionally, must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule; have a valid PA driver's license and full-time access to reliable, private transportation; maintain appropriate auto insurance coverage as required as per agency policy; meet immigration law requirements. Due to the likelihood of working with children under the age of 18, these positions must comply with PA Child Protective Services requirements. Must provide Act 33 & 34 and FBI Clearances issued within the 60 months. Salary range at $15.04- $20.05 per hour based on experience.
