Job Summary

 

The Multimedia Producer supports the production of photo and video projects that further FIU's brand. This role executes all aspects of production including scheduling and location management. May also train interns on equipment usage and production basis.

 

Executes, independently, video production processes including the conceptualization, planning, budgeting, shooting, editing, and final delivery of produced content.

Creates project workflow structures, reviews daily work schedules, and ensures that work is delivered on deadline.

Participates in the design of video graphics, titles, music, and creative look of shows; makes editorial decisions regarding assembly of information, illustrations, and content.

Monitors inventory of required supplies and equipment. Recommends purchase of new equipment and supplies and performs routine maintenance on equipment.

Executes production of impactful photo and video projects from initial concept meetings to the final edited product for signature university events including commencement, athletic events, galas and conferences and others as needed.

Prepares projects to be used for various digital mediums including web and social. Keeps a database and library of completed and ongoing projects for the department.

Maintains a broad knowledge of state of art technology and systems and keeps management abreast of shortfalls in resources and works with vendors to secure quotes for equipment.

Consults and coordinates with clients on project and regularly communicates progress. Executes a schedule of production to completion.

Consults and collaborates with academic and technical staff, external users and leadership, as needed, so that a high level of audiovisual support is always provided to users.

Assists in training of interns on use of equipment and multimedia software.

Performs related duties as assigned or directed. The omission of duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and five (5) years of experience in related field, OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Some experience guiding and supporting employees.

 

Departmental Requirements

Experience in photography and video production.

Experience working with photo/video editing software.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds of weight.

 

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with motion graphics software (After Effects).

 

Advertised Salary

$55,000 - $60,000

 

Work Schedule

Begin time: 8:30 AM

End time: 5:00 PM
