Hydroelectric Plant Operator, Electrician, Mechanic, and Utility Craftsworker Apprenticeship Programs
The State of California Department of Water Resources (DWR) Hydroelectric Plant Operator, Electrician, Mechanic, and Utility Craftsworker Apprenticeship Programs will be accepting applications for testing on May 2, 2019, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. only. Due to the provisions of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, all Hydroelectric Operator Apprentices will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation before hire. DWR's paid apprenticeship program prepares apprentices for a career in the hydroelectric industry, combining hands-on-learning, classroom study with supervised on-the-job training. Upon completion, apprentices are guaranteed a full-time journey-level position in their field with DWR.
