Plant Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor candidates should have experience maintaining:
- Induction Furnaces
- Industrial Dust Collecting (Baghouse) Systems
- Forklifts, JLG lifts, Loaders, & Mobile Crane
- Roll Turning Lathes
- Horizontal Milling Machines
- Annealing Furnaces
- Welding Equipment
- Static Foundry and Centrifugal Casting Equipment
Duties Include
- Responsible for the leadership of the Maintenance employees and the maintenance of the buildings, utilities, and equipment and facility.
- Schedule and supervise the repairs and maintenance of all equipment.
- Coordinate jobs for scheduled plant shutdowns.
- Assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Identify needed parts to maintain parts inventory.
- Identify and coordinate the installation of new equipment.
- Ensure all regulatory obligations relating to carrying out operational duties are completed in consultation with the environmental manager as required by the relevant certificate, regulation or permit.
Experience/Skills/Qualification
- Candidates must have 5 - 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a steelmaking or foundry environment.
- High School Degree/GED.
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred or Technical School
- Supervisory experience leading maintenance employees.
- Strong electrical background.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of AC/DC solid-state drives & PLC controllers and gas-fired furnaces.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
