PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to the Rules and Regulations of the Application process, to announce the written and physical agility test. For the purpose of establishing an eligibility test. Applications will be available at the Venice Police Department, on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 7 am to 6 pm. All applicants are required to have their application completed and turned into the Venice Police Department by Friday, December 6, 2019. MANDATORY ORIENTATION is scheduled for Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 3 pm at Venice City Hall, 2nd floor. We provide information at that time as to the date of the test. Po- lice officers in Venice are required to live within 35 miles radius; a born United States Citizen; or other citizens born out- side the United States who is protected from discrimination under the provision of Section 1324B of Title 8 of the United States Cods, as amended. All application meeting the initiate qualifications will be place on the eligibility list. AGE REQUIREMENTS: All applicants are required to be between the ages 21-35. Applicants can be waived under the Act if he or she can demonstrate or establishes previous employment as a full-time Police Officer (65 ILCS 5/10-2. 106 and 14). Age requirement is waived if the applicant was recently dis- charged from Military Services, or was dis- charged within the last ten (10 years). START- ING SALARY is $12.31 per hour.
