CASE Worker
CASE WORKER – PUBLIC WORKS/PEORIACORPS - $43,776/yr. (dependent on qualifications) - Responsible for the assessment and documentation of program participants during the recruitment phase, term of service, and follow up grant reporting; assisting staff with recruiting, screening, interviewing, and orientation of program participants; network and maintain contact with representatives of referral agencies and social service providers; work with participants to determine job readiness, identify training needs, and develop career and employment objectives; continue to provide post-program support to program completers to assist with educational pursuits or job placement; and responsible for grant required reporting on project and participant outcomes and must maintain complete and accurate participant files. Bachelor’s degree in social services, social work, education, or related field desired. Three to five years of demonstrated experience required performing work related to client recruitment and enrollment, career assessment and planning, support services, job placement, records maintenance and outcomes reporting. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Experience working with disadvantaged populations preferred. First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Initial Screening 2/28/19 - Open until filled.
