Water Resources Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical Equipment Technician I & II
WATER RESOURCES ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION, AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN I or II– The City of Monroe is seeking a skilled technician to join the electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical maintenance team in the City’s Water Resources Department. Candidate should have knowledge of practices, methods, tools, and materials for electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment repair, installation, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of the occupational hazards connected with electricity, blood borne pathogens, and ability to take appropriate safety precautions; ability to work from computerized work orders and/or detailed blueprints and schematics to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; skill in the use and care of specialty tools for electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical maintenance and repairs; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates. Combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and moderate experience in electric, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a water and/or wastewater treatment plant or large industrial facility.
