Street & Alley Supervisor
The City of Highland is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Street & Alley Supervisor. Position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Street & Alley Division. Duties include supervision of crew workers, performing street, alley, sidewalk, curb, and ditch repair and maintenance activities; installing signs; tree removal; performing administrative tasks, ensuring compliance to regulatory standards and city codes.
Qualified candidates must have an Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and at least 3 years of experience in Public Works or related field as well as supervisory experience. Candidates must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and GIS Software (or ability to learn). Candidates must also have the ability to work long, irregular hours as needed and operate light to heavy equipment, tools and communications equipment. Residency within the Highland Corporate City Limits is required within one year of employment.
