The City of Highland seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Director of Human Resources. This position is responsible for directing the personnel/human resource management and general administration functions of the municipality including recruitment and selection, training, compensation labor relations, employee relations, and risk management. This position also includes responsibility for directing the risk management programs of the City of Highland. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or Public Administration or related field as well as 7-10 years related work experience in personnel operation or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification is required. Municipal experience is preferred. The City of Highland will provide and maintain a membership in HRMA for the position and regular attendance at its functions will be expected. Must have demonstrated experience with MS Office, Financial Software and Human Resource Information Systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational (multi-tasking) skills are required. Residency within the Highland Corporate City limits is required within one year of employment.
