Utility Worker
The City of Greenville has the following position open.
Utility Worker I $12.4930/Hour
Duties: Under regular supervision, performs skilled work in the Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection Division of the Public Works Department. Work involves providing support for water and wastewater repair and maintenance. Reports to the Utility Superintendent. Repairs and/or replaces water mains and main lines; repairs sewer and water service lines; repairs fire hydrants; installs valves and water repair clamps; repairs driveways and sidewalks; makes new water and sewer taps; repairs manholes; pours concrete; and, operates a variety of vehicles and equipment. Will be subject to call out including nights, weekends and holidays. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Class I Wastewater Collection License and/or Class “D” Water License. Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License. Full-time position Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
