KEY DUTIES:
The Finance Director will have full management responsibilities for the preparation, administration and control of the City's operating budget; develop short and long range financial plans, analysis, and forecast to enable the City to achieve operating and capital improvement objectives within available financial resources. The position is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing activities and operations including: accounting, auditing, collections, utility billing, information systems, payroll, business license, purchasing, and debt service, facilitating annual fiscal year audits, ensuring external reports to the public, the state, and other entities are prepared timely and in accordance with laws and policies; preparing and presenting to the City Council periodic financial reports of receipts and expenditures; overseeing the information technology function for the City; and supervising, training, and evaluating Finance Department personnel.
