ENGINEERING AIDE III
Under the direction of a departmental supervisor, performs highly responsible sub-professional engineering and construction work. Work involves inspecting several public works construction projects and performing and/or leading the activities of engineering survey work. Incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment in developing work methods and procedures
within the confines of City-Parish regulations and departmental policies. Work is reviewed through inspection, oral and written reports, and for results obtained. Performs other work as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent certificate of competency, supplemented by vocational or trade school courses in drafting, and three years of sub-professional ngineering/architectural/construction experience (such as drafting, surveying,
inspecting, etc.).
SUBSTITUTIONS
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
(Unless otherwise specified below, must possess at the time of appointment and must be maintained current throughout employment in this classification.)
Must have a valid Louisiana driver's license at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment in this classification.
SELECTIVE CERTIFICATION
Valid driver's license required. (Must provide current license information on your application and attach a license copy).
Q-Alert experience required.
Drainage experience required.
In order to be considered as having the required selective certification experience, applicants must have at least 6 months full time
experience performing the selective certification duties.
EXAMINATION
