Job Description
To assume administrative responsibility for activities throughout the hospital on shifts when administration is not present, such as evening, night, weekend or holiday shifts. House Supervisors have shift responsibility for all administrative and operational functions regarding the provision of patient care for all departments; collaborating with Department Directors as a resource for problem solving. Demonstrates leadership abilities, including principles of conflict management and communication effectiveness.
The House Supervisor functions as the administrative designee to employees, medical staff, and the community while ensuring that all care meets regulatory and professional requirements.
The House Supervisor must be knowledgeable regarding Hospital policies, procedures and standards to effectively manage and coordinate Hospital operations and emergency protocols and plans.
