Amherst County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the positions of Deputy Sheriff

Applicants must be a US citizen, 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid VA operator's license and will be required to successfully pass a written test, polygraph exam, and an extensive background investigation. Current DCJS certification as a law enforcement officer is preferred, but not required.
