Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Counselor
Albemarle Hopeline, Inc. is looking to add an experienced and compassionate Counselor to our dedicated team of professionals. The principal role of the Counselor position is to provide support to primary and secondary victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault including crisis intervention, individual and group therapy.
Albemarle Hopeline, Inc. has been serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence in northeastern North Carolina for nearly forty years. Our work is trauma-informed and client-focused. Required qualifications: Master’s Degree and professional licensure (or provisional licensure) in Social Work, Psychology or related Counseling field. Experience and training in working with trauma victims strongly preferred, especially in the fields of domestic and/or sexual violence.
This position is based out of Hopeline's Elizabeth City office, however, travel within our six-county service area to meet with clients as needed is required. Travel to in-state trainings and conferences also required (travel reimbursement paid by agency).
