Responsibilities
The Plant Maintenance Manager oversees and performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities of the Maintenance Manager include management and execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment that is needed to maintain maximum production rates and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory. A Plant Maintenance Manager generally supervises a department of Maintenance Technicians that function 24 hours per day and seven days per week. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required and also fulfill on-call duties for repairs and assistance. The Plant Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Effective and timely completion of all plant equipment preventative inspections
Project, implement and support the organization's capital project strategy
Leverage Lean Manufacturing process to diagnose and problem solve technical issues
Ensure that all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition
Develop and engage a team of maintenance technicians that support a 7 day per week manufacturing operation
Direct and ensure that all scheduled Preventive Maintenance duties are completed
Effectively manage a spare parts inventory and consistently stay within financial budgets
Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is not operating properly
Partner with leadership team peers in the development and coaching of production platform operators
Effectively reduce plant downtime through maintenance practices
Job Skills:
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
Advanced industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic skills to include root cause problem solving and diagnostics
Understand purpose and proper use of small hand and power tools
Understanding of ADS manufacturing process including troubleshooting all facets of plastics extrusion
Effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organization
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and practices
Maintains an organized and efficient Maintenance Facility
Automation and PLC experience
o Ability to develop and execute a one, five- and ten-year plant maintenance strategy that delivers results
Educational Requirements:
BS In Engineering with 5 years of Plant Maintenance Leadership or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
The employee will lift and move heavy items throughout a shift, which will require the ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds
The employee will be working specified shifts and moving around at all times, which will require the ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours
Facilities can be extremely hot or cold at times, so the employee must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes
The employee will be handling materials daily, which requires the ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods
